Loic is a second-year graduate student completing a master’s degree in speech-language pathology at the University of Florida under the supervision of Amber Anderson, CCC-SLP. Loic earned his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and completed a pre-requisite bridge course in Speech-language Pathology at Jacksonville University. While at Jacksonville university, he participated in research with Dr. Chris Sapienza investigating the outcomes of expiratory muscle strength training in the population of musical theatre performers. Unfortunately, the study remains uncompleted due to the onset of the 2019 coronavirus pandemic.
As a developing clinician, Loic seeks to work with adults who suffer from voice disorders on a broad basis and gain specialization in the area of professional voice users in order to recruit and synergize his expertise gained from his undergraduate studies in the fine arts. Loic also seeks to work with individuals with dysphagia and contribute to pioneering research in order to further the development of compensatory and remedial strategies within this population. Outside of his studies, Loic enjoys participating in extracurricular activities such as seeking new skills to learn, standup comedy, and writing and performing original music.
