Dr. Eric Jeng is an associate professor in the division of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine. As a scientist and cardiovascular surgeon, Dr. Jeng’s research interests include translational research in cardiopulmonary mechanical support and heart and lung transplantation, and economics in medicine. He has presented at both domestic and international conferences in these areas. Dr. Jeng and Dr. Plowman currently collaborate on a clinical trial investigating risk factors for the development of dysphagia in cardiac surgical patients and validation of a bedside clinical swallowing screen in the cardiac intensive care unit. Dr. Jeng serves as a Co-Primary Investigator on a current grant from the U.F. Department of Surgery.
