Dr. Emily Plowman was a keynote speaker last week at the biennial South African Neurological Rehabilitation Association in Johannesburg. She gave three talks on Best Practice Updates on Clinical Swallowing Evaluation, Exploiting Principles of Plasticity in Rehabilitation and Applications of Respiratory Strength Training in Rehab.
As we often discuss, science and research in swallowing MUST extend beyond our immediate laboratory and clinical environments so that our knowledge can expand out, be accessed, and challenged, by clinical and scientific colleagues across the globe.
