NSSR Speaks at the NEMO Center

Dr. Emily Plowman and Research Therapist Michelle Rosado visited the Neuromuscular Omnicomprehensive Center (NEMO) in Milan, Italy on May 19th where Dr. Plowman was invited to speak about her research in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

The NEMO institute is housed within the largest hospital complex in Europe and affiliated with the University of Milan.  In attendance were world-class neurologists including Drs Gabriele Mora, Valeria Sansone, and Christian Lunetta, ear nose and throat surgeons, speech-language pathologists, psychologists and university and medical faculty.  Dr. Plowman and Ms. Rosado then provided a workshop on treatment strategies for bulbar dysfunction for individuals with ALS at the Fondazione Salvatore Maugerie Scientific Institute of Rehabilitation in Pavia, Italy.
